36 weeks 4/9/09

32 weeks
36 weeks

Here are the pictures for 36 weeks. I went to the Dr and he still says that everything looks great. I gained 2lbs, so we are at a total of 27lbs now. The heart rate was in the 140s. I have another sonogram scheduled for next week to check the position and the size of the baby. Thankfully the Dr has agreed to schedule a day to induce me, because of Matt's insane schedule/arrangements for the kiddos. As of right now I will be induced on April 29 unless she has other plans prior to that.

The adventure of finding the dog 4/2/09

Chase's escape route
(Matt opened it more in hopes the dog would come back the night he was missing and then the wind finished it off)

As many of you know I can't stand how windy it is out here. It is nothing for us to 25mph-35mph on any given day. Well a few weeks ago we had some really strong winds come through. The winds were 55mph. At some point one section of my fence had opened enough for our dog to escape. I had checked on him at lunch time and he was in the backyard. Then when the kids went out to play when Shayne got home they came back in crying saying the dog was gone. This lead to first driving all over the neighborhood. Then I actually walked the whole neighborhood with the kids looking for the dog. When I couldn't find him I called Matt and he came home to help look for him. Unfortunately animal control was closed for the day so they couldn't tell us if they had him. Finally the next day at lunch time they notified us that they indeed had picked the dog up the day before.(As Casey will tell you Chase went to "puppy jail") After paying a lovely fine we were able to get the dog back. Of course as soon as we got home he desperately needed a bath and then he came in and slept for a long time. With the fence broke the dog had to stay inside.
Then on Sunday the back section of our fence also broke. It took about a week, but Matt was able to repair the fence. I was very excited to be able to put the dog back outside without having to worry about him getting out. In between it being repaired the dog did break his leash and take a short tour of the neighborhood. Then one day the kids let him out and I had to chase him around the block before I could catch him. Needless to say I was not thrilled in the least.

Shayne's Open House 3/12/09

The kindergarten classes each had a city to focus on.His class learned about Austin. Shayne is the first one in the third row
Shayne the cowboy. His paper says the state mammal is the armadillo.

Shayne's school had their open house. Their theme was all about Texas. Each class did projects that taught them about the state of Texas. Shayne had a whole folder full of that class work they had done to learn about Texas. Then he was able to take me around to show me all the classrooms that he goes to. He most excited to show me the computer lab. He even designed a screen saver with his name on it and it said "I love Mommy". He is just too cute!
