Buckaroo of the Week 1/9/09

His awards for being a Buckaroo of the week - a sticker, free kids buffet at Cici's Pizza and a Star Student pencil

In true Texas style the kids aren't just student of the week here they are Buckaroos : )! We were very proud of Shayne for doing so good in school.
P.S. It was school spirit day to wear a hat to school and Shayne loved wearing his racing hat from "The Brushy Hill Gang"

24 Weeks 1/15/09

I have survived another month! I went to the Dr yesterday and everything looks great. I took the lovely glucose test and I think that will turn out fine. I have gained another 5lbs, so we are up to 15lbs total. The baby's heart rate was 140. All the measurements matched perfectly. I go back in another 4 weeks and then after that it will be every two weeks until she decides to join us. We are still no closer to agreeing to a name at this point. I think Matt has his heart set on a name and I don't like it. In turn he likes nothing that I pick. I guess we'll keep trying to agree on something, so if anyone has any suggestions let me know. Thanks again to Shayne for the great pictures!

I am glad to say that the kids rooms have been transformed into their new rooms. It was a lot more work then I thought it was going to be. They are both very proud of their new rooms though, so it was well worth it. They have also done a great job keeping their rooms clean now too. Since they each have their own laundry hampers too they even bring them down to Mommy when they think they are are full for Mommy to do their laundry...how sweet...lol.

Our Freeze 1/5/08

If nothing else I have figured out that Texas has some crazy weather. One day it was 84 degrees here and three days later it was 30 degrees outside. Although the kids were disappointed there was no snow to play in. They did have fun trying to convince Mommy to let them eat the icicles. (YUCK : ( )
